New book launch. The book is aimed at both the general reader and those with a particular interest in the local history of the area. The time period this work explores extends from the earliest settlement about 5,000BC to the present day, covering Dalkey, Bullock Harbour and Dalkey Island.

The ornate gothic arch and a section of the boundary wall was dismantled stone by stone, after each stone was carefully numbered by the skilled stonemasons. A trench was excavated to sink a concrete foundation for the repaired wall, and the wall was re-assembled stone by stone.
A history book about Killiney and the surrounding areas of Dalkey, Shankill and Ballybrack recently launched at the Dalkey Book Festival, in June 2024. The book is called Abbey Lea, A Killiney History
