Killiney Ancient Church and Graveyard, 8th September 2024

The Cill Iníon Léinín 6th-century heritage site has been closed for 2 years, as the boundary wall was in a dangerous condition. Repair works have now been completed by Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown Co. Council with support from the Heritage Division of the Dept of Housing, Local Govt & Heritage funded by the Community Monuments Fund.

During the Summer, local volunteers kindly helped to clear the site, which had become overgrown.

The re-opening ceremony took place on Sun 8th September at 3pm.
