The shape of the modern town of Dún Laoghaire/Kingstown was determined in the offices of the “Lords of the soil”, Longford and de Vesci about 1815.
Bullock: lands, harbour and castle. A talk by John Martin on 3rd March. Cistercian monks from St Mary’s Abbey in Dublin established a farm estate at Bullock about 1000 years ago, developing a fishing harbour and a protective castle.
